Fr. Dan Farley

Chuck Neff - Thursday, October 29, 2009

This is Fr. Dan Farley.  Those of you praying for him, I thought you might like to see a picture.

For those of you who don't know him, Fr. Dan is a priest in the Diocese of LaCrosse, Wisconsin.  He has been diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.  It is a neurological disorder which attacks the muscles.   I had the great privilege of spending a few hours with him earlier this week.

Fr. Dan says he can tell the disease is progressing.  But, this is a man of great holiness and trust in God that whatever happens will bring Glory to God.  I found our time together this week to be inspiring and hopeful.  I have spent a good number of hours with Fr. Dan on the Inner Life, where he joins us as a Spiritual Director for our Relevant Radio listeners.  Our time this week is the only the second time we have had time to visit in person.  But, over the past few years Fr. Dan has become a good friend.

We are praying for him.  Won't you please join us in praying for him, as well?  And, as Fr. Dan would say, "Remember...it's all for the Glory of God."  +++
